My wife and I attended this excellent clinic in May 2007 whilst we were staying in Porta Del Carmen (I had two dialysis sessions at the clinic during the week of our holiday). We were made most welcome by the clinic staff (Vera and Louis) who were very friendly and spoke excellent English. The clinic is very clean and my dialysis treatment was performed in the most professional manner. There were two other English ladies and a German gentlemen receiving treatment at the same times as myself. My wife stayed with me during my dialysis sessions and we were both provided with refreshments each time. We also noted that apartments are available at the clinic, where patients can book to stay for holidays - we shall probably look into this option when we next decide to visit Lanzarote. My dialysis sessions were arranged in advance by email, via Doris Krimm, the clinic coordinator, prior to our holiday and all the arrangements were in place prior to our leaving the UK. I can highly recommend the clinic to anyone requiring dialysis in Lanzarote and I am sure that we shall be booking a return visit in the not too distant future. Many thanks to all concerned.

September 2005. We have just returned after staying for 2 weeks at the Lanzarote centre. It is my husband Michael that is the paitent and I must say that his dialysis was excellent. The centre is very clean with the appartments being cleaned every day, I couldn't keep our two children out of the pool (14 & 11) they were the only children there though. the day we left there were still 2 out of the 8 appartments available. It was never full. It's not very far from the shops and the beach,(the road is quite steep) lots of restuarants and even a car hire place with very friendly staff only a 5 minute walk away from the centre. With the transfer time from the airport (Arrecife)only 10 mins and costs around 12euros, you hear the occasional plane but is otherwise very quiet. we had a lovely time. I have photos of the centre and surrounding area if anyone is interested, it is a lovely place to stay.

I had three dialysis sessions at this excellent German -owned clinic in January 2005. The communications for the arrangemnts were efficiently handled (email and fax)by the Clinic Coordinator Doris Krimm, also a qualified renal nurse. The doctor, Dra Susanna Penuelas attended each time and supervised the sessions. Other staff were either Spanish or German, but spoke good English. 5 of the 8 stations were being used when I attended, the other four clients were German visitors. The clinic provides a service mainly to visitors from abroad and is private, charging 250 euros per sessions which some clients may be able to reclaim from their health authority. The clinic maintains the highest standards in all areas and everyone is very friendly and relaxed. A relative or friend is allowed to sit with the client during the duration of the session and is also offered a drink and light refreshment. Prospective clients should also check out the accommodation facilities on site (apartments set in a garden with a swimming pool as these look very attractive). The clinic is set about one kilometre back from the seafront but is not easy to find from the LZ-2 highway/motorway. We stayed at Playa Blanca and found, coming from the west, that the easiest route was to turn right off the LZ-2 at the crossroads at Macher, signposted Puerto del Carmen, following the road to the playas, proceeding along Avenida de las Playas, taking left turn at supermarket (just past ice cream kiosk on the right), following this one way street to the top, turning right at STOP sign, and first right into Calle Bocaina (again one-way) where the clinic is at No. 7 (a residential area). I cannot recommend this location highly enough and am looking forward to a return visit
